Walk Around Photography Session

Walk Around Photography Session

I was so excited when Julia contacted me about doing a walk around photography session in Montreal.  Her family was in town visiting her brother who is going to university here. It was also recently her mom’s birthday.  As a gift, they bought the birthday girl a family photo session here in Montreal when they would be visiting and the family would be all together in one place and it was…. epic.

Walk Around Photo Session Montreal-1

I carefully planned a route planning some areas that were iconic, some that were quieter, some that were really touristy and some that were just so gorgeous.  We took a variety of photos including groups, candid, individuals, couples, etc.  Some of the group photos were a little more traditional, but I really wanted to capture them as a family – hanging out, laughing and enjoying themselves.

I made them bring up all sorts of family memories, tell me about themselves and we generally had a great time.  It helped that the weather was perfect and we got to do our walk around at sunset which is the PERFECT time to capture great outdoor photos.

These guys were such a great family and so much fun to walk around Old Montreal.  They are frequent travellers to Montreal and clearly have a love for our beautiful city.

I couldn’t stop smiling as I was editing these photos, and it really made me want to do a family photo session in every city we ever visit as a family.  Travelling is just so much about togetherness, adventure, learning and growing together.  It’s such a great bonding experience.

How amazing are these guys?  We did all sorts of silly poses at the end but, this one is one of my favourites…

Thanks guys for showing me how beautiful my city is and how amazing it is to travel with family!

Are you a local who loves your city, or are you a tourist in town and want to capture your visit?  Contact me and let’s make it happen!
