Montreal Photographer | Personal Project
Personal projects are a way for me to grow as a photographer and force myself to shoot in new situations and in creative ways. I absolutely love doing family photography, and I have models at the ready in my own house so I was thrilled to participate in a 7 Lifestyle Photos a day for 7 Days challenge.
Then I got sick.
But it’s OK. I did what I could. I actually photographed 3 days out of the 7 but have decided not to publish the third as it was visiting my husband’s grandmother and I wasn’t sure if she would be OK with having her photos on the web (even if she did turn 96 that day and probably hasn’t looked at the internet in years!)
I was concerned about what I would photograph each day to keep it new and fresh so with day 1 I decided to photograph our morning routine all the way to daycare drop off. Here it is:
It was SO cold that day, my fingers absolutely FROZE as I was trying to take pictures. I was so grateful my son could go straight to the gym and run around all day as I knew they wouldn’t be heading outside.
Day 2 I decided to focus on wake up from my youngest son’s nap to lunch time. As you can see he’s in what I call his ‘shenanigans’ phase. And, oh my – those eyes.
I was so happy with the photos and I think it gives a great little glimpse into our life right now which I know many years from now I will appreciate!
Any of this look familiar?
