We have done photos with Michelle 4 times over the past couple of years (newborn, extended family photoshoot, baby milestone mini, and most recently the NDG alley minis) and each time it’s been a wonderful experience. I'll let you in on a little secret. There's never a perfect time to get photos.
There will always be other things to do, just 5 more pounds to lose, hair that needs to grow out or get cut.
But the truth is, those chubby wrists, big eyes, and the way your little ones cling on to you has an expiry. One day you will be looking at your photos with tears in your eyes remembering what your kids childhood looked like and how loved they were. They won't have to ask why they aren't any family photos from when they were little. You'll have these memories preserved for them and for you.
This is why right now, not in a year, and certainly not in 5 years, is the right time.

When is the best time to book a maternity shoot.
When is the best time to book a newborn session?
I consider newborns to be up to 3 months old. If you want sleepy photos it's best to do it before 3 weeks of age. But I honestly love babies of any age and I find between 6-9 months to be absolutely adorable. It's never too late.
Every expecting mother is different but I generally say between 28-34 weeks when your bump is big enough to be visible but not so big that it's hard to move. Having said that, if your past that stage it's still worth getting photos. I've photographed moms at 41 weeks!
Do you offer sessions outside of Westmount?
Where is your photography studio located and is there parking?
Yes, I am available for in-home and outdoor sessions throughout Montreal including NDG, Ville St-Laurent (VSL), NDG, Cote-St-Luc, Hampstead, Montreal-West, Griffintown, St-Henri, St-Lambert, Plateau, Mile End and Little Italy. Just ask!
My photography studio is located in Westmount. There is street parking only, but usually it's OK. If you really prefer a parking lot, there is parking at the Westmount Library about 5 minutes away. I will provide a detailed guide all about parking and getting to the studio when you book.
