Boudoir Photography Tips

After photographing many boudoir sessions, here are my best Boudoir Photography Tips. Every session is different and every persons needs are different. You may focus on preparing one area more than another.

Inspiration Images

What inspires you? What do you want your images to look like? Take a look at Instagram, the web, magazines and Pinterest to create a collection of images that speak to you. This allows me to see what type of images you want to create and also address any challenges. Often we see themes that emerge such as black and white, anonymous or joyful.

Hair and Makeup

You will hear from hair and makeup around a week before your shoot to discuss any inspiration images, allergies and general direction. This is your chance to ask any questions! A prep guide is also included in your package so you know what to do the evening before and the morning of the shoot.

Wardrobe

Wondering what to wear? You aren't alone. My email and prep guide contains my tips for picking your wardrobe. Included in your session is one on one guidance with a local stylist who can help direct you to certain pieces, identify what you already have in your wardrobe and help you make decisions.

Prepping YOU

Between my prep guide and the hair and makeup prep guide you receive clear direction on what to do (or not to do ) in the weeks and days leading up to your session.

Why do I offer so many Boudoir Photography Tips? A woman who shows up to her session prepared is going to feel more confident than someone who is left wondering. Also, I designed it for what I would like if I was a client. I know that clear communication and a lot of help is important and I want your session to be as amazing as possible.

Does any of this resonate with you? Please reach out for more information on a session!
