Hair and Makeup - Co-Ordination, Fees, etc.
I get a lot of requests for hair and makeup.
Hair and makeup artists may do makeup only or hair and makeup. Each one is different.
You are really paying for them to come to the studio, which is why they are often more expensive than if you went directly to a salon. The benefit is that they are also on-site for touch ups during your shoot and you do not have to go outside or travel.
Typically the minimum fee for an artist is $150- $250 + tax. This depends on services and the artist. Please note that this is higher than in a salon because you are paying for them to come to you.
You must also pay either for the table or room rental. I recommend that if you want an artist, you do your shoot at Belair Suites because the table rental is $40. At other locations you have to rent the entire room which will be more like $100. This is *in addition* to the cost of the artist.

Belair Suites:
Organic Allure is a hair salon right on the same floor as Belair Suites. They do not offer makeup.
Lisa Sim is a makeup artist nearby. You'd have to ask her about her services and availability.
Avanti offers hair and makeup and is located nearby on Victoria Ave (previously was Annie Young)

Finding somewhere to do makeup only can be a bit tougher. Sephora offers makeup and there are now two downtown locations which is a short Uber/taxi away.
