Montreal Lifestyle Photographer

What do you do with your photos after you receive your digital images? As a Montreal Lifestyle Photographer here are my recommendations.

Recommendations from a Montreal Lifestyle Photographer for your digital images:

-BACK UP those images and remember where you store them! This is so important. Ideally you will have it stored on two separate places (say your computer and an external hard drive) plus to the cloud or Dropbox.

-Share those images! I remember scanning prints and emailing them to friends. It's so much easier these days. If you want to share on social media, I can resize your images so that they are a smaller size. Larger sizes often show up pixelated and blurry. If you want to email them try compressing your images first or sending through a file transfer tool like WeTransfer. Don't forget to give some love and tag your photographer.

-Put those images in an album. This is the EASIEST way to keep your images for generations. Plus, you and your family will love looking at them year after year. Why not get an album for the grandparents too! At Michelle Little Photography every single family and boudoir client gets an album proof which they can customize.

-Print those images! I have so many families asking for printing advice and then they never do it.

Let's break this down:

  1. Print your images somewhere reliable. You beautiful photos may not look the same if you get prints from your local drugstore. You can ask me for recommendations or get your prints through me. I use a professional printer located in Toronto.
  2. Framing! Do you want custom frames? If not I suggest you buy your frames FIRST and the prints after. Why? You'll find it easier to simply purchase the size print you need versus matching the frame to the print.
  3. Location! I suggest one big print or framing a number of prints and hanging them together. Desk size prints are generally considered 8" x 10" and under. Choose over 8" x 10" for framing on the wall unless you choose a cluster of prints.
  4. Inspiration - look at Pinterest for Inspiration! There are a ton of creative and inexpensive ideas you can find.

What do you think? Have I inspired you to do something with those digitals? I hope so!
