Photoshoot at Domaine du Lac Gale, Bromont

I recently did some location scouting at Domaine du Lac Gale in Bromont. As you can see it was early in the season - April - so no leaves were out and it was very quiet.

It's a beautiful location, but on weekends is only open to residents of Bromont. If you are not a resident, there is a chance that you may be turned away - I know at the beach area there is someone verifying the special resident cards.

It would also be busy on a warm summer's evening and if you wanted photos at the beach area (which is small) you'd be doing it in front of a crowd. I recommend taking photos here either spring or fall when there is no one lounging in the beach area.

It is a short walk (around 10 minutes) from the parking area to the lake on an even, gravel path. There was a LOT of rain the day before we visited and the path was not muddy.

There is a small waterfall on another hike, but it's about 15 minutes in on very rough paths and the photos from the path are really not that great. I don't recommend it.

If you are in Bromont, and a resident, this could be a great option for you. No dogs are allowed.

If you are wondering where this is, it's on the same lake as the Balnea Spa.

Note: We have property in Bromont and qualify for a residents card.
